High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure can cause damage to your heart and arteries.

Healthy blood pressure levels are 130-140/80-90,

The higher your blood pressure is above these levels, the more important it is to try and do something about it.  In the diet salt is a well known cause of high blood pressure, so try and limit it.  Do not add salt to your cooking or to your food, use herbs and spices instead for flavour.

They have also found that the humble beetroot could also help to lower cholesterol, so it could be worth either eating it or drinking beetroot juice daily.  For those who don’t like beetroot, beetroot capsules are also available.
